#flashbackfriday Now vs Then (my 1st presenter pic) - be prepared for a shock (and not just the size, the hair was my own choice!!!!)
I still think of myself as that fat guy, its the strangest feeling! I know I can’t be him; the scale says I’m 10 stone lighter! Yet, when I think of myself, I get the image of that fat guy.
And just like the fat guy, I still enjoy my food, I’m just more aware of it now. And for me, thats one of the biggest keys to losing weight and keeping it off. Yes, you need to exercise, but if you’re not aware of the food you’re eating, whats in it and how much of it you’re eating, you’ll never get anywhere.
I’m not saying you have to count calories and be super strict, thats just boring. But know what goes in your food (avoid stuff with loads of sugar and lots of fat), use portion control (your stomach is about the size of your fist, you don’t need to eat loads) and have a balanced diet (research just out shows cutting carbs can lead to an early grave).
