All about last night’s dinner... I have to eat small meals and the easier on the tummy the better. I had the kids meal all ready and realized, “what am I going to eat?” Grabbed cauliflower, mushrooms, and zucchini; sautéed them in olive oil for 2 minutes then poured a 1/4c bone broth over them to steam them for 3 minutes; then added another cup of bone broth to make a simple soup. Super easy, filling and nutritious. #whatieat #eathealthy #simplefood #icraveveggies

This post is a reflection on how social media has affected our society and the way we speak to each other, hiding behind screens. Not to mention, the facade we are expected to put on, in order to keep up with “insta-worthy” standards. . ✌️For the last 2 years, we have given you meal prep recipes, tips and tricks. And in that time, we have received countless requests to show you what we eat in a day, especially since I have been on my weight cut. Yesterday, we were blown away by the comments from people, who came out of the woodwork, to voice their opinion in a shaming, condescending manner. (For those who were supportive, thank you ❤️) The amount of people losing their minds that I am eating 1350 calories this week... when I explained right there in the post that I’m on week 9 of a weight cut, just like any athlete would do to “weigh-in”. I’m taking those principles and sharing how to use them in order to drop body fat. So far I have lost 15 lbs and 3.5% body fat. This is not a starvation diet, I’m showing you how to effectively and safely do a weight cut. I normally eat 1900-2100 calories, and over 2500 if I’m BJJ training. If you are curious as to how to do this and what my journey has been like, I’ve posted an update video every week on YT. . 🙄And to those that commented it looks “boring “. The post wasn’t meant to give you a recipe, we’ve given you almost 100 “fancier” looking recipes. But the reality is, we both don’t need extravagant food. We are perfectly happy eating simple foods that take just a few minutes to prepare with a handful of simple ingredients. This post was meant to show you reality... because you asked us for reality... not some fancy fake picture. •WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE GREEN LEAVES SURROUNDING A CAULIFLOWER?• Don’t bin them 🗑! Make some plant-based cauli-balls! I’ve made these crispy baked veggie bites as a little snack pre-dinner. Dunk into my homemade spicy chilli dip if you dare 🌶. Perfect little warming appetiser for an afternoon indoors whilst the rain just keeps going ☔️☔️☔️. .. I despise food wastage. I was reminded this morning about values instilled in me from my grandmother about not even wasting a grain of rice (thank you @_dadimas). We throw away 7 million tonnes of food every year in the U.K. alone equating to about £13 billion worth of food. The impact of such waste is just shocking. I do try my very best to minimise food waste whenever possible and have had a food composter made this year in my back garden for any food waste that I can’t use up in cooking. How do you minimise food waste? .. Recipe Outer leaves of one cauliflower 1 large carrot 300g cannellini beans 2 spring onions 2 cloves garlic 1.5 slices of stale wholemeal bread - blitzed into breadcrumbs (I used the end piece) Salt and pepper to taste .. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C 2. Blitz all the ingredients in a food processor till combined 3. Shape into balls, and place on a lined baking sheet. Spray with oil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy. Enjoy!

Another meal at Pure Soul!🌱 - Today I attended a Sound Healing session through MAAYAA International Healing School. I’ve been getting weekly aura cleanses for almost a year now and been doing lots of research on Chakra’s and crystal healing which have helped me through low vibrational times. - Essentially, Tibetan Singing bowls are placed around you and used in a way that heals & balances your body / Chakras. - The experience was very different, but overall wholesome. The lady who practiced on me was able to detect my blockages which I thought were spot on. She said she tried healing my Solar Plexus Chakra (the stomache) but the blockage was too much. Which makes sense, because I’ve been off my typical eating routine due to all of this traveling which throws off my digestion.
