Smoothie Sunday & relaxing on the couch before football takes over my life for the next few hours ๐Ÿ˜… Tomโ€™s team is the Patriots and mine is the Eagles and we both have games today so this will be an eventful day with lots of ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ก Just pray we make it out alive lol. Started my day with a berry smoothie and topped with a lemon cashew crunch @zingbars, which was AMAZING! It was my first time trying them, and I really loved it! There were some crispies in there that totally added to the texture + crunch -highly recommend. For the smoothie I added 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 half frozen banana, handful frozen raspberries, 1 scoop vanilla plant protein, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and almond milk (didnโ€™t measure, just until desired consistency once blended). HAPPY SUNDAY BABES! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ anyone else watching football?

Tomorrow we officially start classes for second semester... that means junior year #nursingschool here we come round โœŒdecided to take in the morning, eat this little dish of literally all my favs ( 1st time adding tumeric to my eggs for a little extra somethin somethin, not terrible) + #coffee and reflect on what God has been teaching me these past few weeks. โ€ข We can't do life on our own. Our responses to struggles and trials are a reflection of our relationship with Him, and boy oh boy do I need more of Him now than ever! The Lord's unshakeable, undeniable power and strength are made perfect in my weakness, so if that's the case, I'll be weak for Him! It's okay to make mistakes, we aren't perfect, and God knows that. Although I'm making BIG changes to my diet and trying to be more plant based, one of my big bugbears is waste. For the last few days, I have felt mentally and physically exhausted. I am afraid that the anxiety is here to stay, but I will learn how to manage it. I am doing a lot of reading about how the brain works, and that is helping. The Chimp Paradox, has been particularly helpful. My chimp is definitely out of control. I am responding to everything emotionally and not processing it with logic or rationality. Knowing this is starting to help manage my emotional responses. I also need to learn to remember that I can't control things that are out of my control. I need to learn to let go and not worry about what will be. The massive anxiety has felt like 100 steps backward, it is terrifying, but I am learning a lot. Letting go of my ED as my coping mechanism was never going to be without consequences. I have been blessed with support around me, at work and at home. Swim day is the plan. . 1. Pre-excercise meals should be eaten 2-4 hours before training. They should be moderate to high on carbs, moderate in protein and low in fat. Accompanied with some fluid ofcourse ( water and tea for me) 2. Pre-excercise snack timing is 1-2 hours before the session and should be high in carbs, low in protein and fat and easy to digest.
