Week 1 of the #Whole30 is a wrap.✔️
First things first, I did. not. cheat. 😌
Second thing, it was horrible.
But a good horrible.
I had all the intentions in the world to post about my feels throughout the first week but to be honest, I actually felt like I was dying a little bit and had no desire to talk about how miserable I felt.
Detoxing your body from sugar/preservatives IS NO JOKE! They tell you, you will have the hangover, they reaaallllyyyy warn you...but there is just really no preparing yourself for the range of symptoms you get from detoxing.
Noticeable Changes Thus Far:
〰️ I had great energy at work everyday after the first day.
〰️Anxiety is gone: I spent a majority of my weekend sitting on my butt planning a wedding and watching TV (WHICH WAS INCREDIBLE). I honestly can’t remember the last time I was able to sit down and watch TV bc my anxiety wouldn’t let me sit still for longer than 10 minutes. 😭🙌🏽
〰️Random bloating is gone. I can’t weigh myself but I’m pretty sure I’ve lost 10 lbs.🙄 I feel and look so much lighter and healthier.
Summary of Week 1👇🏽
Day 1: Dog tired...(1 hour nap at lunch)
Days 2-3: The Detox Hangover-headaches, fatigue, lightheaded, confused, foggy, hard to concentrate, super emotions....(crying all the tears with no reason why) and more fatigue.
Could not even THINK about going to the gym. 🙅🏻♀️ Days 4-6: ALL OF THE CRAVINGS & ALL OF THE TEARS. I honestly have not stopped craving anything but what I’m eating for the past 3 days until just today. I almost cheated last night at the movie theatre because it was so bad.🙈
My hormones are struggling trying to figure out why the heck I’m feeding them differently and so I found myself crying...a lot. I also found myself extremely happy and feeling so much gratitude at other times.
It’s been such a confusing time, guys.😅
Until next week...👋🏽
Grateful for all the love🖤
