#whole30day6 breakfast. Leftover stewed carrots, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes with fried eggs on top. Leftover slaw with lemon oil. Leftovers for breakfast is totally working for us. Arjay and penelope had fried eggs over leftover roasted potatoes, and apples because they did not like the stewed vegetables.
Day 6 and I think I'm mostly through grumpy foggy brain, not overly tired. I'm totally recognizing this super denial where I tell myself "I get it. I don't really need the whole 30 days to understand these concepts....I can totally stop for a sugar filled latte on my way into town." It's a challenge, but I'm waking up alert and not cranky, my emotions seem more level through the day, and overall I feel well, plus the whole family loves the food we've been cooking.
Also, Arjay rarely asks to snack because he's so satisfied, so when meals come around, he's eating them because he's hungry! No snacking was my biggest concern for the kids, but if I take away the time commitment (at 10a we snack) then the kids become very intuitional about when they need a snack versus just eating one because I've offered. That's an exciting concept to me.
