The silent sentinel of the savannah (you knew this alliteration was coming. :-) ). We were simply astounded by the cheetahs we observed during this safari -- our guides told us that it was a small miracle that we had so many sightings of them as they were quite rare in Samburu. So, the safari deities must have been smiling upon us during our time there. I love the grace and sleek, athletic beauty of these big cats -- you can sense the power in their physiques and the way they move. Even at rest, there's a rippling sense of anticipated motion, as if they could pounce at any moment. They're simply majestic for me.
A wildlife photographic safari is one of the most amazing experiences you can have -- especially if you're drawn to observing and understanding animals in the wild. Our guests on this tour were simply blown away by their experiences. If you'd like to experience the same in 2019, you know what to do. :-) Nikon D500, Sigma 150-600mm..
