Ive had a lot of close people pass away on me in recent years.... and you know the one thing I've never heard any one of them NOT say, "I wish I would have saved more money!". Be responsible, find what you love, and spend your ass off enjoying it the rest of your short life!!!. Just my two cents!. .
1950, Wineterminator‘s birthyear, was an excellent vintage in Bordeaux on the left bank, in Pomerol and St. Emilion. In Medoc it was more uneven. But even there you find good wines. My friend @ had brought this incredible, perfect bottle of 1950 Pichon Baron to our tasting, a wine nearly too good to be true. Deep, dark color, so powerful, so complex and long. Reminded me with it’s sheer power more of 1990 than 1950, by far the best 1950 bottle I ever had from this wine - WT96. The 1950 Mouton Rothschild in the other glass really had to struggle to keep up with that. This Mouton was not a powerhouse like the Baron, but so elegant, so full of finesse. Very fine with still some delicate cassis fruit, minty, so harmonius, complex and long, got better and better in the glass - WT94.
But the best was yet to come in this amazing tasting, so stay tuned.
