Dinner’s ready! 🛎👈🏻 the closest thing I could find for a dinner bell 🤷🏼♀️ I guess, to be honest, dinner ISN’T ready unless uncooked rice, beans, sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts look desirable to you. 🤔🤭 This will be dinner in a few hours and I’ll tell you what I plan to do with it. 🍚
If you haven’t guessed, tonight is a #meatless meal! These have endless possibilities and if you take a little extra time to plan, and prep if needed, these can be pulled off easily and quickly. 🍠
Brussels sprouts have totally become our jam and yes we eat two bags worth at one meal for four people. 😳 When you roast them in a delicious fat like @fatworks #chickenfat , with some salt and pepper until they start getting crispy, their slightly bitter crunch really appeals to the vegetarian inside. 🤓 🥢
@edenfoods beans are a staple in my pantry because they round out a meatless meal beautifully but even more, this company, soaks their beans overnight👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (no one else is doing this- that i’ve found) which makes the nutrients from the beans more bio available and gets rid of that pesky phytic acid that keeps your body from absorbing nutrients! 🤯 There are many things that should be soaked, sprouted or fermented and beans are one of them. Rice is one of those things, too, unless it’s white rice. But I don’t always have time to soak rice or I forget so I keep some #sprouted on hand. I’m cooking it in some #homemade #bonebroth and #butter . The sweet potatoes will also get roasted along with the b.sprouts and tossed into the meatless bowl. Often times i toss on some #saurkraut , avocado and raw tomatoes for some extra veggies. We’ll see how tonight’s bowl turns out! stay tuned! 💚 .
