Having kids means that you go through life with your heart walking around outside your body at all times. It’s raw, beautiful, scary.
Kids listen to actions and not words.
I’m not the best parent all the time. I snap sometimes. When I’m sick I lack the ability to do things with them and for them. But, this isn’t about that.
Nearly every day, my kids get love notes in their lunch- yep, I still do that, too.
In our home, words are art. You are greeted with gratitude. You are reminded to live a great story when you depart. And it’s likely you get notes, cards, handwritten sentiments in the mail.
Words matter. Actions matter more. You can change the trajectory of a path by writing a sentence and mailing it to another. To be thought about is priceless.
