Things like that are part of the reason WHY fitness industry is so fucked up. We associate working out with pain. Give praise to those who throw up as a result of a hard workout. If your DOMS lasts 5 days, you're phenomenal. Work out, although you only slept 4 hours, put in the work, because ***if it doesn’t hurt, it doesn't work*** # #
My workouts don't hurt me. Yes, my muscles burn as I go through the last set of push ups. Sometimes I do get sore. These are all normal parts of working out, but I'm not in constant PAIN, hating every minute of what I do.
Maybe I should go and do heavy deadlifts despite back pain? Because that would hurt the crap outta me, meaning, it works, lol... # #
Guess what - as I started focusing on STRENGTH not burning and constantly putting my body into catabolic state, I've become stronger than before. No pain needed.
This is the philosophy in my new workout program as well (not out yet, but coming SOON). # #
Your workouts don't have to HURT to work. That's just a lie.
