I was in Zions in early May.
I loved it, the step, narrow canyon. The walls so high, completely surrounding me. I often felt like I was receiving a big hug from Nature.
Hugging is important, essential actually. I try to do it often but some days I get busy and forget how much I am in need of them.
I met a beautiful soul when I was at HolistiCon this last weekend. We had a wonderful connection and afterwards I asked her for a hug. She said, “Yes, please” with tears in her eyes. We hugged for a long time, it felt incredible!
She told me that she is touch deprived. Her exact words were, “I am 55 and have failure to thrive.” I replied that lots of hugs would heal that.
Hugging is part of our basic needs as humans. A hug lasting 20 seconds or more releases oxytocin and helps relieve stress and anxiety, just to name a few of the benefits of hugs.
As energetic/physical beings we need 4 hugs per day for survival. 8 hugs per day for maintenance. 12 hugs per day for growth.
I feel like many of us are in deprivation mode and do not realize it.
So let’s hug, and hug A LOT today!
Let’s address those touch senses within us that are craving a BIG, long hug.
Hug your pet, your friend, your partner, your family, those you meet that you feel connected to.
Just hug. And hug some more. And then hug some more.
This will bring feelings of connection and joy.
And intentional manifestation is right behind it.
