Good Morning World 🌎 it’s Thursday and I have a three day weekend (sort of) this week so super excited to teach classes and then spend time with the family and other half. Time to have breakfast 🍳 because it’s very important to start your day right and then off to teach class 1 out of 4 today! 🏋️‍♀️. P.S if anyone has any tips to loosen your calves I would be forever thankful... I always get the same question when I’m setting someone’s first programme or giving them an induction. And that’s.... How do I stick to the gym? It’s a big deal if you have no interest in the gym so why not find a type of exercise that you enjoy and if you enjoy exercise you will never feel pressure to complete it! The gym is great when you start seeing progressions but you need to reach this hurdle and it doesn’t take as long as you may think. See if your gym offers classes as this may help you to become motivated and you can meet new people, even new friends who could become your ‘gym buddy’. People who expect too much of themselves -- don't stick with it. ... Take baby steps - - remember why you are there in the first place and don’t make your goals too big! Mix it up. ... speak to the instructors ask for different exercises that still work the same muscle groups so you don’t get bored. Don't be your own drill sergeant... enjoy it and you will soon see the difference in your physical, mental and emotional self! Bring a friend or make a friend, going to the gym at the same time helps you meet the same people and being the first person to break the ice may find you a workout partner!! So the stretch class started and we got to our roll downs and suddenly the realisation sets in that THE KETTLEBELLS COURSE has definitely given me DOMS in my hamstrings... It’s good to tell yourself WELL DONE once in a while... because when you look 👀 back to last year, you’ve already come a long way!! It may sound silly but I used suffer from anxiety just from the thought of stepping on the London Underground because I don’t like small spaces but yesterday it was rush hour and I conquered my fear and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I see myself growing as a person everyday at the moment. I’m looking forward to defeating more fears and growing stronger physically and mentally in the future!
