They’re a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Studies show that oats and oatmeal have many health benefits including weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart disease. I love having them for breakfast as they fill you up until lunchtime. ❤❤❤❤❤ This is a lovely recipe for a super flavoursome porridge – making it really easy to enjoy this healthy breakfast. The original recipe idea came from the grandmother of my friend Ahlam @straightupbananas ... ❤❤❤❤❤ INGREDIENTS (1 servings) 1/2 cup of oatmeal 1 cups of almond milk (or alternative) 1 tsp of ground cinnamon 1 tsp of clove powder 1 tsp vanilla powder METHOD Add all the ingredients into a small sauce pan and cook over a low heat until the oats are soft and tender. ... ❤❤❤❤❤ TOPPING INGREDIENTS 1 banana, sliced Pinch of ground cinnamon 1 tsp maple syrup (optional) 1/4 cup pecan or cashew nuts, dry roasted METHOD Place the nuts in a frying pan over a low heat and dry-fry them until crunchy. Remove and place aside. Add the sliced banana and sprinkle with pinch of ground cinnamon. Cooked until the banana is soft. The natural sugar from the banana will caramelise. Flip over, sprinkle more cinnamon and repeat the caramelisation. ❤❤❤❤❤ PRESENTATION Add the spiced porridge to a bowl. Top the porridge with the banana and roasted nuts. Add a splash of extra almond milk. (optional) Decorate with edible flowers. ❤❤❤❤❤ NUTRITION (1 bowl with toppings) Calories: 349 Fat: 9.5 g Carbs: 34.3 g Protein: 7.7 g ❤❤❤❤❤ #veganvideoshare

🎥 @plantiful_recipes . . It’s been a while but I had to post a video :) TORTILLA SOUP AND POTATO TAQUITOS!!! 🌱💕 This is hands down the best tortilla soup ever. It’s a soup to impress people. I made it a little thick, but you can add more veggie broth and make it more soupy. Ingredients for the soup: -10 Roma tomatoes -1 Chopped Yellow Onion -1 Bunch of Chopped Cilantro -1 Bunch of Green Onions Chopped -3 Corn Tortillas -3 cups of Veggie broth (or more) -Salt -Pepper -1tsp Dried Oregano -Olive Oil Instructions: Cut the tomatoes into 4 pieces, add olive oil, salt, and pepper and mix it all together. Do the same with the chopped yellow onion. Place them on separate pans on medium high heat and let them caramelize. The secret is not stirring it so much. let them sit. Make sure you cook the tomato until it becomes like a paste. (See video) In a large pot add the cartelized onion, tomato, cilantro, green onion, veggie broth, and dried oregano. Bring it to a boil Take your tortillas and warm them up over fire til it gets a couple of brown spots, chop them and add them to the soup and continue to boil. Once the soup is boiling, you may remove from heat and blend all the ingredients together. Garnish it with some tortilla strips and avocado. ----- Potato Taquitos Ingredients: -1 Large Potato -Corn Tortillas -Salt & Pepper Instructions: Boil your potato, and mash it. Add salt and pepper. Warm up your tortillas so that they are easy to fold, then add a little bit of the mashed potato and roll it like a taquito. Place it in a hot pan with some oil until all sides are crispy. Once served, you can dip the taquitos in the tortilla soup and you will know what heaven tastes like :) I hope you try and enjoy this recipe, its definitely one of my favorites. . #veganvideoshare

Do check out the chocolate party at #🍫PARTY ... ❤❤❤❤❤ I went camping in the desert this weekend which was sooooo lovely. Good friends. Good food. Back to nature. Very relaxing. What are you up to this weekend ? ❤❤❤❤❤ INGREDIENTS (4 serves) ▪ 1 tbsp ground flax seed ▪ 3 tbsp water ▪ 1 cup Gluten Free flour ▪ 1/3 cup unsweetened cacao ▪ 1 tsp baking powder ▪ 2 tbsp of @NatviaNaturalSweetener (for a low cal pancake) ▪ 50g vegan dark chocolate ▪ pinch of pink salt (optional) ❤❤❤❤❤ METHOD Mix the ground flax seed and water in a small bowl to make a “flax egg” and set aside for 5 minutes. Add all the other ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well together. Add the flax egg and mix well. Cook in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes on each side. Drizzle with chocolate ganache (optional but worth it !) and sprinkle with Chocolate Quinoa Puffs and Cacao nibs ! The easiest vegan choc chip cookies! 🍪🍪😍 Recipe: 2 1/2 cups plain flour 1/2 cup caster sugar 1/2 cup almond milk 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda Dairy free chocolate chips 1. Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix together until you have a thick and doughy texture. 2. Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking tray. Flatten them a little if you prefer thinner cookies. 3. Bake them in the oven on 220°C for 12-15 mins until the edges turn brown or less time if you want them to be a little more chewy in texture. . #veganvideoshare
