whoโ€™s staying in tonight for some homemade pizza ๐Ÿ•+ vino!? ๐Ÿท This happy recipe was created by @candicekumai For at-home movie nights. Make the pizza, pop it into the oven, watch your fave ๐ŸŽฅ movie for a bit, & enjoy this delish pizza when it comes out of the oven. No need for takeout anymore, as the bacon- fat-coated kale and cracked egg will have you hooked on making your own fresh pizza at home! Serves 4 to 6 3 slices organic bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces 1โ„2 yellow onion, nely diced 2 cups kale, tough ribs and stems removed, leaves nely chopped All-purpose our, for rolling the dough 1 pound store-bought pizza dough (gluten-free pizza dough is great!) 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil 1โ„4 teaspoon sea salt, plus more as desired 1/3 cup organic marinara sauce (you can make this in a @vitamix!) 4 ounces mozzarella cheese (fresh or shredded, your choice & you can make it #vegan too!) Preheat the oven to 400 ฬŠF. Set the pizza dough out to at room temperature for about 20 minutes. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp, about 5 minutes. Set the bacon aside on paper towels to drain and reserve the bacon fat in the skillet. Add the diced onion to the bacon fat and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 8 minutes. Add the chopped kale and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes. Set the skillet aside. On a clean work surface, dusted with a touch of our and using clean hands, roll out the pizza dough into a 10- to 12-inch round, 1โ„2 to 3โ„4 of an inch thick. Lightly grease a large baking sheet, pizza stone, or a round cast-iron skillet. Place the dough on the baking sheet (or in the skillet/on the stone), brush the dough with olive oil, and sprinkle w sea salt. Prebake the crust in the oven for about 10 minutes, until slightly pu ed. Remove the crust from the oven and top with marinara sauce, mozzarella, kale-onion mixture, and bacon. Bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the additional sea salt to nish, if desired. Slice immediately with a glass of Pinot ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿท for a perfect pairing!
