Choc Chip Protein Smoothie Adding Cacao Nibs to our smoothies is our new favourite thing to do! 1 frozen banana 1 date 1 cup coconut milk 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein 2tbs cacao powder 1tbs cacao nibs 1tbs peanutbutter 1tbs bentonite clay Blitz all ingredients in a blender untill combined. Ps. I find when adding dates to a smoothie, stopping and restarting the blender chops them up alot better. Pesto Pizza πŸ˜‹ I love experimenting with different veggie pizza toppings! Ive come to the conclusion that often less is more! For this pizza we used pesto as the pizza sauce, topped with sliced tomatoes, feta, pinenuts and sprinkled with cheese. And as always we used @thermobexta spelt pizza dough recipe as the base. After a weekend of pizza and birthday cake, i was looking for whole, pure foods today. Unfortunately my fridge was looking a little sad and empty, so after eating an entire rockmelon (with a spoon), i scrounged around and came up with this little veggie bowl. Its simply, chickpeas cooked with mustard seeds, sweet potato, avocado, pinenuts and lemon. Oh and there is some spinach and sprouts hiding way down the bottom! And some curried coyo on top! Its funny, how things change over time. I remember how much i use to dislike making Gnocchi. We loved eating it (still do) but it was just so darn time consuming! Now i love it, because the kids will join me in the kitchen, help roll out the dough and cut it into Gnocchi pieces. Its finally school holidays, and im bloody excited! Full days of no rushing and no real places we need to be, just going at our own pace, enjoying the day. Today we all stayed in bed untill 8:30 and then lazily made waffles for breakfast ❀ For the waffle mixture, i used @thermobexta Banana Spelt Pancake Mix. It worked out great and made about 6 whole waffles! I'm loving roasted vegetables in this cooler weatherβ„πŸŒ± I've been roasting mine in mustard lately πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ so good! Today i used a mixture of seeded and french mustards (because there is never too much mustard, right?) And i was right! Because it tastes so darn good πŸ˜‚!
